Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by a variety of sources. They can run utilizing liquid propane or LP gas, gasoline, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel ideal for many uses. There are several facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled whenever they need. In other places, the facility would have spare LP cylinders which are able to be changed out when the machinery must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you should truly be careful so as to prevent possible serious injuries. Like for example: be sure to wear the correct safety equipment like goggles or safety glasses and heavy gloves. Make sure that you turned off the ignition of the forklift before changing out the tank. Then, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is securely closed. Use your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it would turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never utilize any type of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
