The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by standard jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This specific feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both production and efficiency.
