CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help their consumers reach their objectives and deliver value as they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Usually, these models are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is required prior to using boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs needing a lot of man power to be carried out in much less time. These machinery have changed the material handling industry and have greatly increased production.
