The telescopic lift truck will typically have a prolonged lift which uses a crane or arm to come over top of a truck. This type of forklift will allow you to raise cargo higher and with better control. This additional control is due to the fact that you are moving the cargo on the end of a crane, that is known as a telescopic boom.
The load could also move both towards and away from the forklift cab too and this unique feature is something that basic lift trucks could not do. The telescopic forklifts could offer both height and versatility. The telescopic lift truck is really common within the construction and agricultural businesses. In addition, they are an excellent choice in situations where you should work with something that requires more control that a standard forklift.
Frame Tilt
The frame tilt is a unique feature which is common to telehandlers. The operator is able to activate controls to alter the lateral or side to side angle of the frame. This frame can be moved 10 to 15 degrees in either direction from horizontal. There is a tube filled with liquid which is curved and mounted within the cab. This is the frame tilt indicator or level indicator and works similar to a carpenter's level. It has a bubble indicator which indicates the frame's lateral angle relative to the ground. This is an extremely helpful apparatus that is used to make sure that the frame is level before raising the boom in rough environments.
Steering
Rear wheel steering is provided on some telehandler units, which is like a vertical mast type unit. Most models offer 3 steering options that the operator could select; crab, circle and front steering. Like for instance, if the operator chooses the "front" steering option, just the machine's front wheels would react to the movement of the steering wheel.
