Narrow Aisle Forklift
Used to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage areas that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular model is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering really easy.
The operator of this particular kind of forklift usually stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This configuration allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Machines which are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the preferred alternative for closed places like for example retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nonetheless, the diesel version is not recommended for indoor use because it can be noisy and produce exhaust.
