Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is extremely comfortable and gently rounded. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, in order to keep the operator working as effectively as she or he could.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low thanks to the insulated mounting on the chassis. In order to maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all independently adjustable. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and simple to operate levers that are offered for windscreen wipers, gear changing, the horn and window washers.
A ventilation/heating unit ensure a comfy cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The equipment has a robust 3-speed fan for heating, cooling, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The basic instruments that comprise: high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Moreover, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
Amongst the important options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks can be equipped with is the ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring. This allows for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults which happen and their current values.
